Sunday School Ministry

  • To teach and instil the Word of God into the hearts and lives of the pupils- John 8:31,32 and for them to realise the tremendous sacrifice at Calvary and its implications for our justification before Almighty God- 1 John 1:7.
  • To ensure each pupil has a complete awareness of who the Lord Jesus Christ really is- Matthew 16:16 and 1 Timothy 3:16.
  • To prepare each pupil for a life of service in Jesus Christ- Hebrews 12:28.
  • To equip the church, the bride of Christ with the future members of the five- fold ministry- Ephesians 4:11

The Sunday school is equipped with four classes of approximately 40 pupils each. These are classified as: beginners; junior; senior and discipleship classes. Each class is served by three teachers. The children are allocated a class depending on their knowledge of the Word of God.

The highest class, the discipleship class, prepares the pupil for baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ- Matthew 28:19 and Acts 2:38. They are then released to attend the adult classes.

Two superintendents are responsible for ensuring that the Sunday school runs according to ministry requirements and syllabus, registers etc. are being adhered to.

The Sunday school has been provided with its own two and a half storey building by the ministry which is scheduled for completion in June 2015. This comprises 4 classrooms, a main assembly hall, Superintendents’ office, ablution block and storeroom.
